The Lee Plaza Hotel/Apartments was built during Detroit’s 1920s building boom and is located on West Grand Blvd. The art-deco luxury building was converted to senior apartments in 1968. The building closed permanently in 1997 and was a popular place for urban exploring. In 2024, renovation got underway to convert the building back to affordable senior apartments.
